Memory Magic - Train the Trainer Workshop

Memory magic is a students’ memory training course developed by Shahin Ashraf Ali. The author believes, “A trained memory is crucial not only for academic success but for enriching life in myriad ways.” Since late 1990, she has been conducting the memory training workshops and sessions in and around Mumbai.

During school visits, through her story-related or other activities, the author introduces the children to fun ways to memorize their lessons. Sessions are moderated according to the age appropriateness and need of the group at the given point of time.

Students who complete Shahin’s entire memory magic course and apply it have Fun –

• - Memorizing history dates!
• - Memorizing formulae!
• - Memorizing short answers or answers comprising a list of people, places or things!
• - Memorizing long answers, speeches for elocution competition etc!
• - Performing memory feats – like remembering a deck of playing cards you call out once in the precise order called or a list of 40, 50 or even hundred things you state aloud once or remembering a fifteen/twenty digit number!

The author tends to weave in a couple of memory techniques into her story books. For this, she has often been appreciated by students, parents and teachers who have read her books.
Shahin’s Memory Magic – Train the Trainer workshop empowers women to set up their own memory training classes. Young mothers and other child care-givers who successfully complete the training and move on to enable children to have fun memorizing, feel immensely fulfilled.
